Gemini 4 Carbon: our next frontier model

Google DeepMind has announced Gemini 4 Carbon, described as its strongest model, two weeks after Gemini 4 Argon. It improves on coding, long-horizon agentic tasks and especially cybersecurity (finding, exploiting and patching vulnerabilities), and tops the Artificial Analysis Intelligence Index v5.0. Rollout is gradual: starting this week a subset of cyber defenders get access, then more trusted partners through the Fairwind Program, before availability to developers, businesses and consumers “as soon as possible”. The announced introductory price matches Argon: $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens.
